2015 was the third warmest year since 1900... Drought conditions, above-average monthly temperatures and sunshine (in the first half of the year), cool nights and hot weather in August accompanying véraison (colour change) were all ideal for the vines!

Cuvée Prestige by Château Goumin catches the eye with a beautiful deep ruby-red colour shot through with lively violet highlights. Richness and complexity are the watchwords here. The bouquet is dominated by delicious dark berry aromas (morello cherry), with subtle hints of wax and Virginia tobacco. Starts out smooth and straightforward on the palate. The Cuvée Prestige is as warm and inviting as it is elegant and well-balanced, dominated by delicious ripe red and black fruit flavours. The tannin is particularly soft and the aftertaste is equally pleasant, with hints of sweet spices (cinnamon). The endearing vivaciousness and freshness make for a thoroughly appetising and indulgent wine that goes beautifully with grilled rib of beef, steamed chicken breasts, and delicatessen meats.
