Presentation
Château de Cruzeau is situated on superb gravelly hilltops, perfectly oriented, and benefits from ideal natural conditions for growing vines. Its red wines are always fine and elegant, the perfect expression of the exceptional terroir of Pessac-Léognan. Delicately spicy, with notes of truffle and undergrowth, these modern, charming wines are particularly well-balanced, with freshness, a lovely structure and delicious fruit aromas.
The vintage
2022 was a particularly atypical year due to extreme weather conditions. ln addition to a very early frost in the spring, which affected the vineyard just as the vines were starting to bud, there was a long period of exceptional drought from May until the end of September. The result was low yields and a perfect state of health at harvest time throughout the vineyard.

On the palate, there is a perfect balance between the wine's fleshiness and its freshness. The tannins are also supple. A long finish. An elegant wine, full of promise.

Reviews
Precise and intense, the bouquet of this Château de Cruzeau is full of the freshness so often found in 2022s. It also displays elegant fruity nuances. Juicy and full-bodied, the wine has compact, perfectly integrated tannins that give it breadth and power, while the acid structure enhances the aromatic expression right through to the finish. A linear, reliable and promising wine. (Tasted en Primeur)

Intense purple colour with violet hue. Elegant and slightly closed nose with restrained fruit, discreet toasting, fine spices and aromatic herbs. On the palate well balanced with ripe tannins, juicy character, sweet fruit and very good length, subtle oak in the background. (Tasted en Primeur)
